Lawrenceville Neighborhood Alliance

Membership/Donation/Advertisement Drive

The LNA is a group of neighborhood residents concerned about the well being of the city and is working to improve the Quality of Life for all residents in the city. In the short time it has existed, the Lawrenceville Neighborhood Alliance has earned a reputation as a strong and credible voice for neighborhood and city improvement.

Since mid 2007, we have:

Set up a communication network consisting of a website, available to anyone, and an e-mail list to which anyone can sign on to.

Provided relevant and timely information to the public through the LNA website, two newsletters, public forums, meetings with neighborhoods and by e-mail.

Placed agendas and decisions of city council and Planning and Zoning Commission meetings on the LNA website and sent this information to those on the e-mail list.

Presented the challenges that Lawrenceville faces to Lawrenceville City Council members and to the Downtown Development Authority, to the school board member of our district, and placed position papers on the website.

Met with the downtown businesses regarding ways to support each other.

Held two public forums for the residents, one on economic development and the other on a candidate forum for the 2008 city election. Both were well attended.

Spoke to the Lawrenceville City Council with one voice on neighborhood and city wide issues.

We are proud of our record and excited about the future.
